People of India Must Convert as Democrats
People of India must convert as democrats.
Sir,
When our elected and appointed people become more rich, we must be alive to the situations and we must try to know what is the source of income of that fellow. If we come to the conclusion that he has been indulging in scams, scandals, muddles, bribes, corruption, sale of jobs, sale of licenses of the like, we must report the matter to the appropriate authority and must see that the man is punished. We should not limit our power up to elections only and then sleep. We are the real owners of this country and therefore, it is our duty to see that the people elected by us and appointed by the government remain public servants and they do not grow rich within days. We are the masters of this country and therefore, we should have an eye on these people. It is our duty to supervise because when masters are sleeping,. the servants shall misappropriate their funds and there are chances that the masters shall go insolvent. In fact, it had happened in India. we had been taking part in elections and after elections, we had been pushed back to suffer and we had been sleeping and when we were sleeping, our servants had been making hay and within days they had grown rich. If this process continues we would never be able to establish true democracy in India. A real democracy shall be established in India only when we are alive to the situations and have an eye on our public servants. Up till now we could not convert as democrats and it seems we are still living under Rajas, Maharajas, Monarchs and the Imperialists. This not good.
